Evanescence have teased new content with a cryptic social media post, with Netflix potentially involved in the project.
The band shared a clip featuring frontwoman Amy Lee counting numbers with her fingers, displaying three and two before making a horn gesture. The sequence has led to speculation about an announcement on 24th March.
Netflix’s involvement was hinted at through their response to the post with an eyeball emoji, while some fans have connected the teaser to the upcoming animated series ‘Devil May Cry’. The fantasy action series, based on the Japanese video game franchise, is set to launch on Netflix on 3rd April.
Show creator Adi Shankar has further fuelled speculation by retweeting the clip featuring Lee. In a now-deleted post, Shankar had written: “All I can say is Amy Lee is the [goat emoji].”
Beyond this potential announcement, Evanescence are scheduled to support Halsey on their North American ‘For My Last Trick Tour’ this summer. The band will also join My Chemical Romance’s stadium tour later in the year, alongside acts including Violent Femmes, 100 Gecs, Wallows, Garbage, Death Cab for Cutie, Thursday, Alice Cooper, Pixies, Devo and IDLES.
