Chappell Roan has unveiled her latest single ‘The Giver’ via Amusement/Island Records, marking her first release of 2025.
The Grammy Award-winning artist’s new track showcases a departure into country music territory, featuring fiddle-driven instrumentation and western-influenced production. The release follows her 4x platinum 2024 single ‘Good Luck Babe!’.
“I have such a special place in my heart for country music. I grew up listening to it every morning and afternoon on my school bus and had it swirling around me at bonfires, grocery stores and karaoke bars,” Roan says.
“Many people have asked if this means I’m making a country album??? My answer is.. right now I’m just making songs that make me feel happy and fun and The Giver is my take on cuntry xoxo may the classic country divas lead their genre, I am just here to twirl and do a little gay yodel for y’all.”
The single’s release is accompanied by five limited edition 7-inch vinyl variants, each featuring artwork depicting Roan as different service-oriented characters.
