Confidence Man have announced a new immersive exhibition in collaboration with The KLF’s Jimmy Cauty, titled ‘Emergency Chill Clinic’.
The installation, which will be hosted at 35 Soho Square in London, is designed as a recovery experience for post-rave attendees. Set in a hospital-inspired environment, the exhibition combines film, sound, and sensory elements, featuring a specially created film by Cauty’s TowerBlock1 studio alongside a remixed version of Confidence Man’s ‘3AM (LA LA LA)’.
“Jimmy said, Bill [Drummond] and I used to ask ourselves, ‘What would The KLF do?’, and then do it,” Planet shares. “He was like, you should do that with Confidence Man.”
Visitors to the exhibition will be guided through their experience by ‘Chill Clinicians’, who will conduct health reports and relaxation techniques before attendees are tucked into bed to watch the film presentation.
The collaboration follows Confidence Man’s recent BRIT Award nomination for Best International Group. The band have recently completed a series of European shows and are currently touring the United States.
