Barry Can’t Swim has announced new album ‘Loner’, set for release on 11th July via Ninja Tune.
The Edinburgh-born producer has shared new single ‘Different’. It follows the recent release of album opener ‘The Person You’d Like To Be’, which emerged after a week of cryptic marketing, including a mysterious billboard in Dalston.
“If my first album was a collage of all the music I loved and was inspired by growing up, then this album is the most authentic expression I could offer of myself and my life over the past year,” they explain.
The twelve-track album follows their debut ‘When Will We Land?’, released in October 2023, which earned them a Mercury Prize nomination alongside Charli xcx, Beth Gibbons, English Teacher and The Last Dinner Party.
Barry Can’t Swim also received a BRIT Award nomination in the Dance Act category and placed in the top three of BBC Sound of 2025.
