BLACKPINK’s Jennie has shared a new video for her single ‘Like Jennie’, taken from her debut solo album, ‘Ruby’.
The track, co-produced by Diplo and co-written by Jennie alongside Zico, follows their previous collaboration on ‘Spot!’ in 2024. The accompanying visual sees Jennie dressed as an astronaut in ruby red attire.
‘Ruby’ features several collaborations, including Dominic Fike on ‘Love Hangover’, Doechii on ‘ExtraL’, Dua Lipa on ‘Handlebars’, FKJ on ‘Intro: Jane’, and Childish Gambino and Kali Uchis on ‘Damn Right’. The album also includes the singles ‘Mantra’ and ‘Zen’.
The release marks Jennie’s first body of work under her own label, Odd Atelier, in partnership with Columbia Records. The label was established in late 2023 following the conclusion of her solo contract with YG Entertainment.
Jennie is the third BLACKPINK member to release a debut studio album, following Rosé’s ‘rosie’ in December and Lisa’s ‘Alter Ego’ last month. Fellow member Jisoo released the mini-album ‘Amortage’ in early-February. The group are set to embark on a world tour later this year.
