Blair Jollands has released his fourth studio album ‘Little Comet’, out via Glowb Recordings (6th March 2025). The London-based, New Zealand-born singer-songwriter will mark the release with a headline show at London’s Water Rats on the same day.
The new album follows Jollands’ recent singles ‘The Breaking’, ‘Don’t Cry’, ‘Make Love Great Again’, and ‘Cruel World’, as well as new cut ‘Wading In The Water’. The ten-track collection was recorded across London, Spain, and Nigeria throughout 2024.
“This song is a road trip down the southern alps of my home town, Aotearoa, New Zealand and collides into a tumultuous whirlwind of unexpected twists testing the deepest of faiths. It embraces not only the light but the darkness and salutes Love, loss, joy and grief,” Jollands says of ‘Wading In The Water’.
Speaking about the album, he explains: “It’s a double dose of melodies, transporting lyrics and audible imagery through space and time splash landing in the Mohave desert. I set out to write a 5 song EP, but gems kept coming, who was I to ignore.”
“Every album I do has a concept and a sense of direction. The most important idea for this album was movement. There’s something new being introduced throughout, both chorus or verse, whether it’s vocal or instrumentation, a different rhythm or an unexpected style,” he adds.
