Just when you thought your spring calendar couldn’t get any more gloriously stuffed with musical excellence, we’ve gone and done it again. Dork’s Night Out continues its relentless mission to bring the most exciting new talent to sticky-floored venues near you.
The latest in our Dork 100 series of shows – yes, we’re celebrating our centenary issue in a big way this year – comes another unmissable night featuring the magnificent total tommy, who’ll be transforming London’s beloved Sebright Arms into her personal playground on Wednesday, 7th May for her first ever headline show in the capital. We’ve been spinning her debut album ‘bruises’ on repeat ever since it dropped. It’s the kind of record that burrows into your brain and sets up permanent residence – squatter’s rights for your musical cortex, if you will.
Our Dork 100 celebrations have already sent Welly, Polly Money, The Pill and Vincent’s Last Summer careening around the country on the Hype List Tour, while our Here Comes Your Jan series has introduced London to some of tomorrow’s best new names. Plus, we’ve hosted shows with everyone from the enchanting Witch Post to the ever-charismatic Bradley Simpson, each night more electric than the last – and there’s so much more to come.
Tickets for total tommy at the Sebright Arms are on sale now through Dice, priced at a laughably reasonable £11 plus booking fee. We’d strongly suggest getting on it fast – she’s brilliant, the venue is intimate, and pop scientists tell us this combination of factors creates a mathematical certainty that tickets won’t hang around.
