BRIT Awards 2025 – Live

As the red carpet unfurls like a bleeding tongue from the O2’s gaping maw, another BRITs ceremony lurches into life – that annual ritual where the UK music industry gathers to pat itself on the back, down free champagne, and occasionally witness genuine moments of pop chaos-slash-magic.

The 2025 edition arrives with Charli XCX leading the nominations with a dazzling five nods, her mantlepiece already buckling under the weight of potential trophies, while Dua Lipa, Ezra Collective, and The Last Dinner Party aren’t far behind.

We’re also in for electrifying performances from US pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter—who also scoops the Global Success Award—and former Little Mix star JADE, alongside the baroque-pop theatrics of The Last Dinner Party, rising star Myles Smith, soulful Teddy Swims, man of the moment Sam Fender, and the enchanting Lola Young.

Join us as we document every award, every awkward presenter pairing, and every technical hiccup in excruciating detail. We’ll be your slightly tipsy companion (official drink of the BRITs 2025 – Kylie Rosé) through this glitter-laden carnival of British music’s finest. Refresh regularly, pour yourself something fizzy, and let’s ride this rollercoaster together.

Sam Smith declares themselves president of the CMAT fan club (we’re all members tbh)

UPDATED: 5:28 PM BY DORK

In a heartwarming red carpet moment, Sam Smith has just told Officially Certified Dork Icon CMAT that they’re “a fan” of her music. Quite right too. Who isn’t? Idiots, that’s who.

Who wore it better?

Teddy Swims, or Rachel Berry?

Not sure about that new Sugababes line-up etc etc etc

The oldies are the goodies.

Welcome to the chaos pit, it’s BRITs o’clock and we’re all going feral

UPDATED: 5:09 PM BY DORK

Well hello there, Dear Reader – welcome to Dork’s absolutely-definitely-completely-professional coverage of the 2025 BRIT Awards. We’re settling in for another night of Britain’s ‘finest’ musical ‘talent’ trying their best not to swear on live telly, awkward presenter banter, and at least one performance that will have Daily Mail readers clutching their pearls by morning.

The show kicks off at 8pm-ish GMT on ITV1, ‘FYI’, and we expect HRH Queen Charli xcx will be winning everything. The first person to call it the BRATs goes in the Big Pop Skip.
