Julien Baker & TORRES have shared ‘Tuesday’, the latest single from their upcoming collaborative album ‘Send a Prayer My Way’.
The TORRES-fronted track explores themes of overcoming religious abuse and shame, particularly in relation to queer identity, featuring a stripped-back Americana sound. The song follows previously released singles ‘Sylvia’ and ‘Sugar in the Tank’, with the latter debuting on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The collaborative project between Baker and TORRES originated in 2016 when the pair performed together at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall. After the show, they discussed the possibility of creating a country album together, leading to this twelve-track collection that combines their distinctive songwriting approaches.
