My First Time and Alphabet are joining Picture Parlour for Dork’s Night Out at the 100 Club this March

London’s 100 Club is readying itself for another essential evening of new music, as Picture Parlour prepare to break their nine-month headline hiatus at March’s edition of Dork’s Night Out. The band – who’ve been quietly crafting fresh material during their time away from the stage – will headline the 20th March showcase as part of our Dork 100 celebrations.

They’re joined by My First Time, who arrive trailing plaudits from Billboard UK’s ones-to-watch list and armed with their latest single ‘Brand New’. The track – which vocalist Isaac describes as “the death of childhood self-assurance and birth of adulthood anxiety” – explores alternate timelines and reinvention. “It is the desire to change everything because it has become just that bit too familiar,” he adds. “An imaginary timeline, where everything is different, and the ‘Brand New’ version of yourself reigns supreme.”

Completing this triple-threat lineup, alphabet bring their melodic guitar work and dual vocal approach, fresh from releasing their latest single ‘All The Words’. The track captures that particular brand of emotional turbulence that comes when familiar phrases lose their power, its chorus crystallizing around the declaration: “All the words you used to say, they feel so weak I keep spinning.”

Tickets have already sold out, but you can join the Dice waiting list here.
