Lady Gaga confirms a ‘Telephone’ sequel is coming, hints at Beyoncé return

Lady Gaga has confirmed that a sequel to ‘Telephone’, her 2010 collaboration with Beyoncé, is in development.

During a lie detector test segment with Vanity Fair, Gaga revealed that a second part to the iconic track is coming, though she remained uncertain about the timing. When questioned about Beyoncé’s potential involvement, Gaga responded, “Maybe.”

The original ‘Telephone’ music video concluded with a “To be continued…” message, leaving the story open-ended. Beyoncé appeared to reference this continuation during the 2024 Super Bowl, where she released a teaser for her album ‘Cowboy Carter’ featuring scenes of her driving a taxi through a desert landscape, drawing parallels to the original video’s narrative.

The news comes as Gaga prepares to release her eighth studio album ‘Mayhem’, which includes the singles ‘Abracadabra’, ‘Disease’, and the Grammy Award-winning Bruno Mars collaboration ‘Die With a Smile’.
