House of Protection have announced their second EP ‘Outrun You All’, set for release via Red Bull Records. The duo have also shared new single ‘Afterlife’.
The track sees the band working with producer Jordan Fish, formerly of Bring Me The Horizon, and arrives accompanied by a new video.
“‘Afterlife’ was the second song we demoed, right after ‘It’s Supposed to Hurt’,” the band explain. “It started with just the guitar stab and the whip sound. We liked it a lot, but ultimately, we pushed to avoid heavy half-time on ‘GALORE’. We intentionally wanted to keep that whole first EP pretty fast. After our debut shows, we realized how much we missed the feeling live, so we revisited it and refined the ideas with Jordan and Nick. Now it’s one of our favourites.”
House of Protection, comprising Aric Improta and Stephen Harrison, released their debut EP ‘GALORE’ last year. The band recently completed a tour of Australia supporting Bad Omens and Poppy, and are set to join Poppy on her ‘They’re All Around Us’ tour in the US, alongside festival appearances across Europe.
