Japanese Breakfast has shared a new single ‘Mega Circuit’

Japanese Breakfast have shared new single ‘Mega Circuit’, taken from upcoming album ‘For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)’, set for release via Dead Oceans.

The track arrives alongside a visual created by Michelle Zauner and Adam Kolodny, following the album’s lead single ‘Orlando In Love’, which Zauner recently performed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

The new album, produced by Grammy Award winner Blake Mills at Sound City in Los Angeles, marks a shift from the bright tones of previous record ‘Jubilee’ to explore darker themes. Mills, known for his work with Bob Dylan and Fiona Apple, helped craft what is described as a mature and contemplative work.

“I felt seduced by getting what I always wanted,” Zauner explains. “I was flying too close to the sun, and I realized if I kept going I was going to die.”
