green star have shared their new single ‘replication’ via GSR Records.
The London-based band’s latest track follows their 2024 debut ‘blades of steel’ and arrives alongside a video directed by Rodrigo Moran. The new single explores themes of existential angst through feedback-laden soundscapes.
“Sometimes, the hardest closures are the ones that feel like they’re constantly repeating themselves, where nothing changes and everything stays the same, yet you’re left searching for something that can make it all worth it,” green star explain. “This concept is represented in a gloomy, dreamlike atmosphere combined with a sense of mundanity in the lyrics.”
The three-piece, comprising Lilah Bobak from Los Angeles, Pedro Soler from Mallorca, and Alberto De Torre from Madrid, formed through London’s warehouse scene. Their sound draws influence from noise rock and shoegaze, taking inspiration from artists including Sonic Youth, Swirlies, and Yo La Tengo.
