Lights shares new single ‘Alive Again’ ahead of sixth studio album

Lights has unveiled ‘Alive Again’, the latest single from her upcoming album ‘A6’.

The electro-pop artist’s new track serves as the second release from the forthcoming record, which will arrive via Virgin Music. The song features new wave elements, blending nostalgic sounds with contemporary production, accompanied by a horror-themed music video.

“ALIVE AGAIN is kind of a ‘last hope’ anthem,” Lights explains. “It’s about the lows we hit and the demons we carry, and how, from that vantage point, we can sometimes gain clarity about what we want from our lives and the people around us.”

Speaking about the song and video’s concept, she adds: “We all have demons, so we might as well learn to live with them. Or — as the music video depicts — even learn to hang with them (along with a plethora of horror movie references). Much like a lot of my new music, I was able to capture a hyper-melodic, fast-paced new wave feel in the music that provides a nostalgic twist to the whole experience.”

‘Alive Again’ follows the previously released track ‘Damage’. The full album ‘A6’ will contain thirteen tracks, including ‘Surface Tension’, ‘White Paper Palm Trees’, ‘Ghost Girl On First’, and ‘Drinks On The Coast’.
