Alabama Shakes announce their first North American tour in eight years

Alabama Shakes are set to embark on their first tour in eight years, announcing an extensive run of North American dates for summer 2025.

The band have confirmed their return following a series of studio photos shared last week, with the upcoming tour beginning at The Salt Shed Fairgrounds in Chicago on 16th July and concluding at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas on 27th September.

“Last year, Heath, Zac, and I started chatting about how much fun it would be to make music together and tour again as Alabama Shakes,” Brittany Howard says. “This band and these songs have been such a source of joy for all of us. It is crazy that it has been 10 years since we released ‘Sound and Color’ and eight years since we played a show.”

The announcement follows the band’s surprise reunion performance in Alabama this December, where Howard invited bandmates Zac Cockrell, Heath Fogg, and Ben Tanner to join her on stage. Howard has also revealed that the group have recorded “a bunch of new music that will be released soon.”
