The Killers are set to release a live recording of their Madison Square Garden performance with Bruce Springsteen as a Record Store Day exclusive.
The 12″ vinyl pressing, titled ‘The Killers & Bruce Springsteen Encore At The Garden’, captures the three-song encore performed by the band and Springsteen at the iconic New York venue on 1st October 2022. Limited to 5000 copies, the release will be available on 12th April at participating Record Store Day retailers.
The band shared the announcement via their social media, stating: “Look who stepped up and captured something special. Now you can replay it on a record player as we do in our minds. Behold. Get your copy at participating indie record stores on Record Store Day 4/12. For more information and to find a store in your area visit http://recordstoreday.com.”
The performance features Springsteen joining The Killers to perform their 2021 collaboration ‘Dustland’, alongside his own tracks ‘Badlands’ and ‘Born To Run’. The encore also included contributions from Jake Clemons, saxophonist and nephew of late E Street Band member Clarence Clemons.
Springsteen has previously expressed his admiration for The Killers, saying: “That’s a hell of a band. Recently when I caught you, it may have been Glastonbury, the band was so good. You guys have developed such an incredible live show. Really something to be proud of.”
