Olly Alexander is celebrating the release of his debut solo album ‘Polari’ with a new video for ‘Whisper In The Waves’

Olly Alexander has released his first album under his own name, ‘Polari’, alongside a new video for album track ‘Whisper In The Waves’, directed by Colin Solal Cardo.

The album, recorded in Danny L. Harle‘s Hackney Road studios, represents a new chapter for Alexander, who previously performed as Years & Years. “Recently, I have had this thing where I’m thinking, is this what my creative life should’ve been all along?” Alexander says. “I’m putting out music I love, on my terms, that means something to me.”

The 13-track collection includes previously released singles ‘Cupid’s Bow’ and ‘Dizzy’, the latter being Alexander’s Eurovision entry for 2024.

Alexander will support the album with a series of acoustic performances and Q&A events, followed by the Up Close and Polari Tour across the UK and Europe.
