PSY and Megan Thee Stallion are going to host a K-pop battle series on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ have announced a new K-pop song battle series ‘KPOPPED’, featuring PSY and Megan Thee Stallion as the show’s stars.

The eight-episode series, executive produced by Lionel Richie, will see Western artists collaborate with K-pop idols to reimagine their biggest hits. Each episode will feature performances in front of a live audience in Seoul, who will select the winning K-popped version of the song.

The production team includes executive producers Moira Ross, Lionel Richie, Miky Lee, Megan Thee Stallion, and Greg Foster. Additional executive producers include Harry H.K. Shin and Jake Hong, with Kiwoong Kim producing for CJ ENM Co., Ltd. Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Wes Dening, David Tibballs, and Bruce Eskowitz complete the executive production team.

CJ ENM, celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2025, brings their expertise in music variety shows and content production to the project. The company is known for producing content including the film ‘Parasite’ and the TV series ‘Queen of Tears’.

The series will be available on Apple TV+.
