Halflives has released a new single ‘Immortals’, alongside announcing their biggest headline tour to date.
The Italian pop-rock project, led by Linda Battilani, will embark on an extensive UK and European tour starting in April 2025, following appearances at Nova Rock and Rock For People festivals.
Speaking about ‘Immortals’, Battilani explains: “Immortals is a call for the minorities, the marginalized, the nonconfirmists and the rejected. It’s about defiance, resilience, and self-love. As a lesbian, I’ve experienced what it’s like to be part of a minority. Even being a musician can feel like that – society often doesn’t value art or understand what we do unless it fits into a conventional mold. It’s still not consistently considered ‘a real job’ and a valuable contribution to write and play music for a living.”
Discussing the single’s accompanying music video, she adds: “In the music video, there are two girls who want to kiss, but they’re held back by the masses. It’s a literal representation of the song: no matter how much the world tries to suppress us, our existence is undeniable – an unstoppable force. Even if they ‘burn us’ and try to erase us, we’ll only become louder, more visible, and more real. Their efforts to silence us will only amplify our presence.”
