Greentea Peng is teasing her new album ‘Tell Dem It’s Sunny’, set for release on 21st March via AWAL Recordings.
She has shared new single ‘Stones Throw’, accompanied by a video directed by ABOVEGROUND. The visuals were shot in Latvia, utilising fish-eye lenses and long-distance zooms.
“As soon as I heard the song I had a feeling that we’d be taking the video production close to Eastern Europe,” ABOVEGROUND explains. “I felt a sense of nostalgia and after a deep conversation with Aria about what the song means to her and the world we see it in everything just ticked the boxes. We shot for two days, starting early, all on film in the cold Latvian rain. Shashlik for lunch, wine for dinner and an intense shot list throughout the day. Out of all the videos we’ve done together, I think this one stands out to me the most. She was completely locked into her character. it was deeper than music.”
The 14-track album follows her 2021 debut ‘Man Made’ and features production from Earbuds, Samo, Nat Powers, and St.Francis Hotel. The record includes previously released singles ‘TARDIS (hardest)’ and ‘One Foot’, alongside a collaboration with WU-LU.
