Live At Leeds goes absolutely massive with the Manics, Hard Life, Sports Team and more

KEY UPDATE

UPDATED: 10:07 AM BY DAN HARRISON

Live At Leeds: In The Park has just dropped an absolutely stonking (yes, we’re trying 90s slang now) lineup update that’ll have you marking your calendars faster than you can say “I love a bit of hoovering, me.” The legendary Manic Street Preachers are leading the charge of new additions, bringing their anthemic brilliance to Temple Newsam Park alongside Scottish indie heroes The Snuts and the delightfully cerebral Public Service Broadcasting. They’re joining forces with an already announced Bloc Party (who’ll be giving ‘Silent Alarm’ the full treatment), plus the unstoppable Yard Act and pop queen Sigrid. The one-day festival, set for 24th May 2025, isn’t done showing off yet – they’ve also added local heroes The Pigeon Detectives, the ever-brilliant Sports Team, and the impossibly cool Los Bitchos to the mix. The stellar supporting cast includes Hard Life, Kingfishr, Katy J Pearson, Fickle Friends, Do Nothing, Corella, Deadletter, Gurriers, Brògeal, Aziya, L’Objectif and Esme Emerson. Plus, if you fancy a giggle between sets, comedy from Maisie Adam and Angelos Epithemiou will keep you entertained, while Dave Masterman’s ‘All My Friends’ club night ensures the party doesn’t stop. S’reet good.

Well, someone at Latitude HQ has been absolutely rinsing their contacts list, as they’ve just dropped a mew wave of additions. The whole shebang is going down at Suffolk’s Henham Park from 24th-27th July 2025. Tickets are on sale now.

Witch Post to cast their spell over Dork’s Night Out this February

BREAKING

UPDATED: 10:03 AM BY DAN HARRISON

In what can only be described as a cosmic alignment of Really Very Good Things, trans-Atlantic duo Witch Post are set to headline Dork’s Night Out at London’s beloved Sebright Arms. The pairing of Dylan Fraser and Alaska Reid – who hail from different Livingstons (one Scottish, one Montanan, because obviously) – have been causing quite the stir with their first two singles, including the absolutely spellbinding ‘Rust’. From Instagram DMs to potential Next Big Thing™, the show, taking place on 27th February, is part of our ongoing Dork 100 celebrations marking our 100th issue (we know, we’re well old). While support acts are still under wraps (trust us, they’ll be good), tickets are available right now via Dice. This one’s going to be special – get in early or prepare yourself for a serious case of FOMO.

Ringo Starr has never had a pizza

UPDATED: 9:33 AM BY ANDREW WESCOTT

Beatles legend Ringo Starr has confirmed he’s never experienced the joy of a 3am Margherita or a post-gig curry. Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to chat about his new country album ‘Look Up’, Ringo casually dropped the bombshell that he’s managed to dodge two of humanity’s greatest culinary achievements due to food allergies, explaining “you don’t know what the fuck’s in it”.

The chat show appearance comes as Starr gears up for the release of ‘Ringo & Friends At The Ryman’, a concert film captured during a recent Nashville performance featuring Jack White, Alison Krauss, and Emmylou Harris. The special, which sees Ringo giving Beatles classics a country twist, will hit Paramount+ this spring, with proceeds supporting the American Red Cross’s LA wildfire relief efforts. Let’s just hope they didn’t serve pizza at the afterparty.

Chappell Roan is feeling “very emo” about her imminent Grammy domination

UPDATED: 9:31 AM BY LUCY PHILLIPS

Pop’s most exciting new queen Chappell Roan has shared the most relatable pre-Grammys update, taking to Instagram to confirm she’s exactly as emotional as you’d expect when you’re up for six bloody awards.

The ‘Hot To Go’ singer, who’s managed to make basically everyone fall in love with her this year-slash-eighteen-months-or-so, posted a characteristically candid message about feeling “warm and fuzzy” while simultaneously being scared, spiritual and a bit confused. The 67th Grammy Awards ceremony kicks off this Sunday (February 2nd), where Chappell is nominated for basically everything including Album of the Year, Record of the Year for ‘Good Luck, Babe!’, and Best New Artist. She’s also set to perform at the ceremony and has promised something special for the queer community, noting “when I’m up on stage, all I’m really feeling in my heart is love to the queer community especially those in places where it is unsafe to be yourself.”
