LISA’s got Doja Cat and RAYE on speed dial for massive new collab

UPDATED: 10:31 AM BY LUCY PHILLIPS

BLACKPINK’s LISA is going for it with her latest solo endeavour, recruiting none other than pop powerhouses Doja Cat and RAYE for her new single ‘Born Again’. The track, which lands on 6th February, leads into LISA’s debut solo album ‘Alter Ego’, dropping 28th February via LLOUD CO. and RCA Records. When she’s not busy conquering the music world with recent singles ‘Rockstar’, ‘New Woman’, and ‘Moonlit Floor’, she’s casually strutting down runways for Victoria’s Secret, serving face for Louis Vuitton and Bulgari, and – because apparently sleep is for the weak – making her acting debut in the next season of ‘The White Lotus’. As you do.

Jenny Lewis and co. are officially reuniting Rilo Kiley for their first show since 2008. The beloved indie outfit will join the lineup at California’s Just Like Heaven festival, sharing the bill with fellow indie royalty Vampire Weekend, TV on the Radio, and Bloc Party.

The one-day festival is set for 10th May 2025 at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, with a supporting including Courtney Barnett, The Drums, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and “very special guests” Slowdive. The band themselves sound properly chuffed about the whole thing, noting in a statement that they’re “so very excited to come back together” in the city where it all began. While there’s no word yet on whether this might lead to more shows (please please please), we’ll take what we can get.

Self Esteem is taking her complicated woman to the West End, darling

KEY UPDATE

UPDATED: 10:17 AM BY LUCY PHILLIPS

In what might be the most perfectly Self Esteem move yet, Rebecca Lucy Taylor is bringing her theatrical new album ‘A Complicated Woman’ to an actual proper theatre. The pop powerhouse will transform London’s Duke of York’s Theatre into her own glorious kingdom this April, teaming up with Tony Award-winning designer and director Tom Scutt for ‘A Complicated Woman Live’ – a show that promises to be part gig, part theatrical extravaganza, and entirely essential viewing.

The five-show run kicks off on 16th April and includes a matinee on the 19th, with tickets going on general sale 5th February (though you can nab them early by pre-ordering the album before 3rd February). The record itself, which drops on 25th April, features an absolutely massive roster of collaborators including Nadine Shah, Moonchild Sanelly, and Life Without Buildings’ Sue Tompkins, plus a choir featuring everyone from RLT’s mates to actual Corrie legend Julie Hesmondhalgh (obviously, right?). We’re already practicing our power poses in anticipation.
