Coldplay are going to premiere their ‘A Film For The Future’ visual album on YouTube later this month

Coldplay are set to premiere ‘A Film For The Future’, a 44-minute visual companion to their album ‘Moon Music’, on YouTube.

The film, which will debut on 22nd January, will also receive special 360-degree screenings at Lightroom venues in London, Manchester and Seoul. The project was created by more than 150 visual artists across 45 countries, with each artist working independently on different segments of music from the album without knowledge of others’ contributions.

Executive Producer Ben Mor explains: “It was a huge privilege to have the bird’s eye view of such an ambitious project, working with so many incredible animators and filmmakers all working independently of each other. The final film is simply jaw-dropping and I can’t wait for Coldplay’s fans to see it.”

Coldplay have shared their thoughts on the project, stating: “We’re very grateful to all the amazing artists who lent their genius to this film. They’ve created something very beautiful and we’re extremely proud of it.”

The band have partnered with Microsoft to launch an AI-powered remix experience at afftf.coldplay.com, allowing fans to interact with the film. The platform uses Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI to analyse the film and create unique experiences for each user.
