Bilk have released new single ‘Tommy’ ahead of their second album in January

Bilk dropped a new cut from their second album ‘Essex, Drugs and Rock and Roll’, sharing new single ‘Tommy’ ahead of the record’s release on 24th January.

The track combines hip-hop-influenced verses with punk hooks, and follows recent singles ‘Summer Days’, ‘F Up’ and ‘On It’ from the upcoming album.

“‘Tommy’ is the story of an aspiring actress who gets involved with this guy who’s a bit of a wrong ‘un and he takes her down the wrong path,” explains vocalist and guitarist Sol Abrahams. “I wrote it quickly and the solo is enough to melt your face clean off.”

The song was recorded at Edge Studios and Silkmill Studios with producer Andy Gannon, featuring Sol alongside bandmates Luke Hare on bass and Harry Gray on drums.

The band will conclude 2024 with a fundraising show for mental health charity CALM at Guildford’s Boileroom, before embarking on an extensive UK and European tour in early 2025.
