Oslo’s Øya Festival have announced their latest wave of artists for 2025, with Charli XCX, Queens of the Stone Age and girl in red set to play the event at Tøyenparken.
The festival, running from 5th-9th August, will see Charli XCX headline Thursday night, bringing tracks from her album ‘Brat’ including singles ‘360’, ‘Apple’ and ‘Guess’. Queens of the Stone Age are confirmed for Friday following the cancellation of their 2024 appearance due to illness, while girl in red will close the festival on Saturday, marking a significant milestone after first performing on the festival’s Biblioteket stage in 2018.
Additional acts announced include Montell Fish, who will perform material from his album ‘CHARLOTTE’, alongside Irish acts Fontaines D.C., supporting their album ‘Romance’, Kneecap, and The Mary Wallopers. Nilüfer Yanya completes the announcement, joining previously confirmed Wednesday night headliner Chappell Roan.
The festival, located ten minutes from Oslo’s city centre, operates with a focus on sustainability, running entirely free of fossil fuels and using renewable power for 98% of its requirements. The event also features a comprehensive recycling programme, with 75% of waste being recycled through hand-sorting.
Week passes are priced at 3,999 NOK, with reduced rates available for under-23s at 3,499 NOK and ages 12-18 at 2,099 NOK. Two-day passes are available for 2,398 NOK, while day passes cost 1,299 NOK. Additional Øya Pluss upgrades are available for 1,500 NOK, with single-day Pluss upgrades at 500 NOK.
