BBC Radio 6 Music Festival is set to return to Greater Manchester from 26th-29th March 2025.
The annual flagship event, which has been permanently based in Greater Manchester since 2023, will take over various venues across the region for four days of live performances and DJ sets. BBC Radio 6 Music presenters will broadcast their shows live from MediaCityUK in Salford and festival venues throughout the event.
“We’re really proud that our festival brings listeners truly unique performances from the artists they love, alongside a celebration of the fantastic acts that are emerging from Greater Manchester – and 2025 will be no different. We’re so looking forward to bringing the whole station to Greater Manchester again and for four days of incredible live music,” says Samantha Moy, Head of BBC Radio 6 Music.
The festival has previously hosted performances across the UK in Manchester, Tyneside, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Camden and Cardiff since its inception in 2014. Past performers have included Anna Calvi, Arlo Parks, Bombay Bicycle Club, Christine and the Queens, Depeche Mode, and Pixies.
The full line-up and venues for the 2025 festival will be announced in February 2025, with highlights to be broadcast on BBC TV, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Music YouTube channel.
