Mandrake Handshake are going to release their debut album ‘Earth-Sized Worlds’ in February

Mandrake Handshake have announced their debut album ‘Earth-Sized Worlds’, set for release on 21st February via Tip Top Recordings.

The self-dubbed ‘Flowerkraut’ collective, who vary between seven and ten members, have crafted an album centred around the concept of ‘Welcome to Space Beach’.

Alongside the announcement, they’ve shared their new single ‘The Change And The Changing’. Lead vocalist Trinity Oksana explains the inspiration: “The lyrics were inspired by a solo trip to Edinburgh during a transitory period of my life. They are a reflection on returning to Self after being changed by the Other, on connecting with the ultimate autonomy of the Self as a form of empowerment beyond relational turbulence, and a testament to the healing power of nature. My words found their musical home in the classics of Musica Popular Brasileira and is a love letter to the greats of that period.”

‘The Change And The Changing’ follows previous singles ‘Charlie’s Comet’ and ‘King Cnut’ from the upcoming album. The track was produced by Dom Kirtley and Row Janjuah.

The band have also announced their biggest London headline show to date at No90, Hackney Wick.
