Ellur turns self-reflection into sunshine with her new single ‘Yellow Light’

Ellur has released new single ‘Yellow Light’ via Dance To The Radio.

The track serves as the third single from her upcoming EP ‘God Help Me Now’, following previous releases ‘Your Dog’ and the title-track. The Halifax artist has also confirmed an appearance at SXSW 2025.

“‘Yellow Light’ is a declaration of love to the parts of myself that I can’t change,” Ellur explains. “My indecisiveness and defensiveness when it comes to love and life and how, in the past, I’ve let that affect my relationships. I’ve intentionally left the meaning pretty open ended within the lyrics because this song is really all about the melodies. I love catchy, indie-pop and I wanted to explore that, taking influence from The 1975 and Sam Fender. This one is my Mum’s favourite.”

The release follows a busy summer which saw Ellur perform at Reading & Leeds on the BBC Introducing stage, alongside a support slot with Blossoms this autumn.
