The 1975’s Matty Healy has shared what could be a potential tracklist online, following recent hints at new material from the band.
Taking to X/Twitter, Healy posted a list of titles including ‘Alone Together’, ‘Give us back our present’, ‘The Philmarillion’, ‘Owe God A Death’, ‘Commercials in a hotel room’, ‘EVERYTHINGAMAZINGNOBODYHAPPY’, ‘We were promised set backs’, ‘Pepsi-Cola Addict’, ‘Naked when you found her’, ”He’s White”, ‘There are only individuals’ and ‘TaxmanTaxmanInjectioHobby’.
Following the initial post, Healy added: “This is my ‘names for our children’ folder”.
It’s not the first time the frontman has shared teasing updates during creative periods for the band – some of which have yet to actually come to pass. Such is the process. Just don’t hold him to it, right?
The Manchester band’s most recent album, ‘Being Funny In A Foreign Language’, arrived in 2022. Earlier this year, Healy revealed during a live performance that the group were working on their next record, despite previous suggestions of an “indefinite hiatus” following their ‘Still… At Their Very Best’ UK tour.
Speaking on the Doom Scroll podcast last month, Healy discussed where the band will go next, stressing he had no interest in writing a record that gave his side of what’s happened in his personal life over the last couple of years.
