joan consider the unexplainable with their new single ‘eyes’

Alternative pop duo joan have shared their latest single ‘eyes’.

Written and produced by joan’s Alan Benjamin Thomas and Steven Rutherford, the synth-driven track follows last month’s release ‘heartbodymindsoul’, which marked the band’s first new material since their 2023 debut album ‘superglue’.

“‘eyes’ is a song about the small things in our life that have the most power,” joan explain. “We close our eyes and can feel the wind hitting our face, we open our eyes and see the sunset at the beach, we lock eyes with someone and immediately feel a love that we’ve been searching for our whole lives.

“This song is trying to explain what almost feels unexplainable — two people looking at each other’s organs in their face and feeling like all their fears are gone, all their troubles are shot through the roof, all the things that once paralyzed them no longer have power over them. It’s incredibly profound and beautifully peculiar so we wanted to write a song about it. Hope you love it x”

The duo recently completed a support slot with MisterWives on their Just For One Night! tour.
