The Panturas are teasing their upcoming new EP ‘Galura Tropikalia’ with a video for ‘Jimat’

The Panturas are set to release their new EP ‘Galura Tropikalia’ on 22nd November.

The Sundanese, Indonesian alternative indie quartet are teasing the release with a video for new single ‘Jimat’ featuring Doel Sumbang.

The band say: “Galura Tropikalia can be simply interpreted as a new wave in our musical journey. We are opening the gateway to musical exploration in areas that are, in fact, very familiar to us, as individuals living in the Sundanese land. We do not place many expectations on this mini-album. We are already very grateful to have it released in various formats. The entire process has been incredibly enjoyable. At the very least, we have created an album in the Sundanese language in the history of our discography.”

Originating from Jatinangor, Bandung, The Panturas comprise Abyan Zaki (Vocals & Guitar), Rizal Taufik (Guitar), Bagus ‘Gogon’ (Bass), and Surya Fikri (Drums). The band’s beach-inspired rhythms draw influence from surf rock pioneers Dick Dale and The Ventures, alongside classic Indonesian rock groups Kwartet Bintang and Eka Sapta.

The Panturas have also announced plans for a Southeast Asian tour in 2025, with further details to be confirmed.
