Hex Girlfriend have released their new single ‘Drugs, Oil & Guns’ via sly-tone records.
The track follows their recent single ‘Graveyard on a Beach’, which was the first to be taken from the duo’s upcoming EP ‘No Golf Cart Parking’, set for release on 22nd November.
“‘Drugs, Oil and Guns’ is very directly about the military industrial complex, and the hypocrisy of the US and the UK in supporting, funding, and permitting atrocities while at the same time ‘condemning’ them,” the band explain. “It’s about those who get rich from wars and human suffering, and how it is thus blatantly in their interest to cause human suffering – such as US members of Congress currently being allowed to own stock in weapons manufacturers whilst authorising weapons sales and provisions to tyrannical regimes.”
