86TVs have released a Deluxe Edition of their self-titled debut album.
The band – formed by (no longer former!) The Maccabees members Hugo and Felix White alongside their brother Will and drummer Jamie Morrison – are making available new material that was initially released as a bonus 7″ with the album’s limited edition vinyl format.
“We’d made all this music for years by the time we went in with Stephen Street, and loved so much of it,” says Felix. “We had to stop ourselves putting it out as a double album.” He continues: “It’s a cool thing to put some more of the collection out because, as brothers that all write songs, it only takes a few songs each before there’s quite a lot of music, and so much of it could have easily been singles or made the record.”
Additional tracks include ‘Apple Tree’, ‘Out of the Blue’ and ‘You Alone’, the latter featuring cult songwriter and poet Derek Meins – aka Vex Message – delivering a spoken word finale.
