Kid Kapichi have released a new single ‘Newsnight’.

The track is taken from the digital deluxe version of their album ‘There Goes The Neighbourhood’, out now on Spinefarm.

The expanded edition features two new songs – ‘Newsnight’ and ‘The Sun Never Sets On Planet Cool’ – alongside live recordings of ‘Artillery’ and ‘New England’ featuring Dumb Buoys Fishing Club, recorded at The O2 Forum Kentish Town.

“In a world where alternative facts rule and the post-truth era is in full effect – who can we trust? The all-seeing eye of first-person phone footage provides the world with an unfiltered account of events as they unfold; and when that doesn’t match up with the broadsheet headline or the scripted dialogue of your local news anchor, we must ask what the agenda truly is,” the band say of the new single.

“‘Newsnight’ questions whether the media want us well informed or scared & divided; duped into squabbling over toilet roll while atrocities are committed overseas & on home turf, only to be intentionally distorted and misreported by the big brother of mainstream media. We say stay vigilant and always question the narrative. Not in a tin foil hat way though; the earth is round.”
