Damiano David finds his way out of a dark place with his new solo single, ‘Born With A Broken Heart’

Damiano David has released his new single ‘Born With A Broken Heart’.

The track arrives alongside an accompanying music video directed by Aerin Moreno, and marks the second release from the Måneskin singer’s solo project, following his debut single ‘Silverlines’, which was produced by Labrinth.

Speaking about ‘Born With A Broken Heart’, David says, “When I wrote this song I was getting out of a very dark place, I was feeling emotionless and I was afraid that I had lost my ability to feel things, either good or bad. This was happening while I was starting the most meaningful relationship of my life and the fear of not being capable or ready was big. I think the song was a way to make myself make sense of what I was feeling and look at it from a less scary prospective. I’m happy to say that today I don’t feel like this but I think a lot of people can relate with the feeling of not being good enough.”

Discussing the video, David adds, “The video is my personal fantasy. A world where no matter what, once you step through the door, everything becomes magical and beautiful. It’s a way to say that not everything negative is gonna hurt you, but sometimes is actually gonna take you to the next chapter of your life. We all have the ability to transform negative experiences into something meaningful for us.”
