beabadoobee has covered Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Taste’

beabadoobee has visited the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge for a new performance.

She pulled out not only her single ‘Beaches’, but a cover of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Taste’, which included an interpolation of The Corrs’ ‘Breathless’.

The performances come as beabadoobee celebrates her first UK Number 1 album with ‘This Is How Tomorrow Moves’, which features singles ‘Ever Seen’, ‘Take A Bite’, ‘Coming Home’ and ‘Beaches’.

“I just got a Number 1! I am so over the moon,” she told Official Charts. “I want to thank the fans for buying and streaming this record and getting this album to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart. I am so, so happy. I wouldn’t have done it without you guys and everyone who worked on this record. Thank you. I love you all so much!”

Speaking about the record, she explains: “I love this album. I feel like it’s helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I’m at. I guess it’s about becoming a woman.”

“I think I’m more aware of my actions in these songs,” she adds. “In my previous records, I would consistently sing about my reaction towards other people’s doings, like a blame game. But in this record, it’s accepting that there’s an inevitability of my fault in there too. Whether it’s childhood trauma or relationship issues, it takes two to tango in everything.”

The dates for beabadoobee’s UK tour read:
