Maxwell Varey has released his new single ‘Messin’ Around’ via One House.
The track follows his recent release ‘This Town’ and debut EP ‘Ivory’, and arrives ahead of his upcoming headline show at London’s Omeara in November.
Varey describes the meaning behind the song: “‘Messin’ Around’ is about slipping on the line of insanity sometimes when you’re at a dark place in your life. It’s a very cathartic and personal song about trying to cope with my internal anxieties while also trying to be strong for the people I love. And learning to lean on them while avoiding vices.
“Musically, when I made the track it felt like I’d sonically found my muse, and through my evolution as an artist and experimenting with the song live, it felt as if the song became the foundation to inspire all of the further music I’ve made after.”
