Jo Hill has unveiled her debut album ‘girlhood.’, set for November release

Jo Hill is gearing up to release her debut album ‘girlhood.’ on 22nd November via UROK.

The British singer-songwriter’s first full-length project draws inspiration from artists like Queen, Boney M, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, and Joni Mitchell, as well as contemporary acts such as Big Thief, Remi Wolf, and Kacey Musgraves.

Hill describes ‘girlhood.’ as “a celebration of sisterhood, empowerment, and unapologetic self-expression. [It’s] about wearing your vulnerability on your sleeve and being a badass bitch while doing so.”

She adds, “If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in the process of making this record, it’s that the best things happen by accident. They’re often unplanned, a hiccup that leads to a much more interesting moment, journey and story. This is the album I wish my mum gave me growing up.”

Hill has also announced a headline show at London’s MOTH Club on 25th November to celebrate the release of her debut album. Tickets go on sale at 10am on 18th October.
