Dutch Mustard is in control with her new single, ‘Thank You’

Dutch Mustard has released a new single, ‘Thank You’.

The track follows on from debut EP ‘An Interpretation of Depersonalisation’ in 2022 and the ‘Beauty’ EP in 2023, and is accompanied by a show at The Lanes in Bristol this week.

Netherlands-born Sarah-Jayne Riedel (also known as SJ) says of the track: “Thank You is about the euphoric feeling of being freed from a situation never meant for you. It’s a song to remind you that you’re in charge, and that you can always flip the script.”

The creation of ‘Thank You’ involved collaboration with industry figures. SJ recently met with Anthony Genn, former Pulp bassist and producer/songwriter, who offered production advice. She recounts, “He told me ‘Thank You’ was his favourite and gave a few production tips. That’s when I decided that it should be the next single. One specific piece of advice that stood out most was the backing vocals advice, which I took on board for the track.”

The dates for Dutch Mustard’s upcoming performances are as follows:

OCTOBER
18 The Lanes, Bristol, UK

FEBRUARY
1 Ice Breaker Festival, Southsea, UK

MARCH
4-9 New Colossus Festival, NYC, USA
