Perrie Edwards has released a new single, ‘You Go Your Way’: “If you love something, set it free”

Perrie has released a new single titled ‘You Go Your Way’.

The track, which explores themes of new beginnings and personal strength, was originally produced as an underground club single by London-based duo Joy Anonymous before catching Perrie’s attention during a writing session.

The song’s lyrics are inspired by a personal experience from Perrie’s relationship with her fiancé, Alex. Perrie explains: “I told Alex, you go your way and I’ll go mine and if it’s meant to be we’ll find each other again when I am back. He wasn’t happy this idea and made our relationship official there and then! Fast forward 8 years and we are very happy, engaged and have our beautiful son. I truly believe if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it’s yours. If not it was never meant to be.”

This release follows Perrie’s earlier solo singles ‘Forget About Us’ and ‘Tears’, and she’s currently working on her debut solo album.
