The SAY Award has revealed this year’s shortlist, feat. Barry Can’t Swim, Dead Pony, Lucia & The Best Boys and more

The Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) has revealed the 10-album shortlist for the 2024 Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award.

The SAY Award Ceremony will take place on 24th October at Stirling’s Albert Halls, with the winner receiving £20,000. The nominees include Barry Can’t Swim’s ‘When Will We Land?’, Dead Pony’s ‘IGNORE THIS’ and Lucia & The Best Boys’ ‘Burning Castles’.

The shortlisted albums are:

Barry Can’t Swim ‘When Will We Land?’
Becky Sikasa ‘The Writings and the Pictures and the Song’
corto.alto ‘Bad With Names’
Dead Pony ‘IGNORE THIS’
Kathryn Williams & Withered Hand ‘Willson Williams’
Lucia & The Best Boys ‘Burning Castles’
Rachel Sermanni ‘Dreamer Awake’
rEDOLENT ‘dinny greet’
Theo Bleak ‘Pain’

Kathryn Williams & Withered Hand secured their place through a 72-hour public vote, with the remaining nine chosen by The SAY Award judging panel.
