Emily Burns has released lockdown-inspired new single ‘Are You Waiting?’ ahead of her debut album

Emily Burns has released her new single ‘Are You Waiting?’.

The track is the latest offering from her upcoming debut album ‘Die Happy’, set for release on 8th November via So Recordings, and was written during the early stages of lockdown.

Burns says: “I wrote Are You Waiting? at the start of lockdown, when I’d just met my partner (who I’ve now been with for 4 years) and we were living on opposite sides of the Thames. Time felt like it was moving so slowly and everything just felt so up in the air. I find it’s hard to get the reassurance you need through a phone call or a text… when all you wanted was a hug, some affection or a hand to hold. It was such a difficult time for so many of us and this song just really takes me back to that.”
