The Aces have returned with their hot new single ‘The Magic’

US foursome The Aces have released their new single ‘The Magic’.

The track marks their first new music since last year’s album ‘I’ve Loved You For So Long’. The track sees the band embrace a more pop-oriented sound, blending funk basslines with punchy drums and falsetto vocal harmonies.

‘The Magic’ follows The Aces’ third studio album ‘I’ve Loved You For So Long’, which was released in June 2023. That record saw the band reflect on their childhood experiences and religious background, exploring themes of identity and mental health across 11 tracks.

On the new single, The Aces explain: “When we were making this, we wanted to capture the feeling of being in a really hot couple, or a really hot friend group, or just being really hot in general… and horny. When we wrote ‘The Magic’, we went into the studio wanting to write something fun, wanting to feel sexy, wanting to feel confident, wanting to feel like you are that bitch! We were really inspired by the concept of power couples and power friend groups; people who when they walk in the room everyone’s heads turn to them. We wanted to capture that energy and message in the song.”

The Aces are currently on tour in the US and Canada supporting Goth Babe.
