Ramona Marx have released their debut EP ‘Splenectomy’.
The Hemel Hempstead punk quartet’s four-track release, which follows their recent single ‘Seek The Day’, was produced by Erik Miles, known for his work with Soft Play, Baby Dave, Kate Nash, Lady Bird, and Hotwax.
Speaking about the EP, the band explain: “Splenectomy – the surgical removal of the spleen. Inspired by Sam’s sudden ruptured spleen back in February. ‘Splenectomy’ is a removal of spite. Pent up anger and hate consumes and devours. This EP is us in our most naked form. We want to surgically remove this spite and serve it up to you on a cold and bitter plate. Our first extended play and our best recordings yet ‘Splenectomy’ represents a new chapter in Ramona Marx. Notably it was recorded and produced by Erik Miles at the Forum Recording studios, who has worked with the likes of Soft Play and Kate Nash.”
