The Great Escape has announced the line-up for their FIRST FIFTY launch gigs.
The annual event showcases a selection of the first fifty artists confirmed to play the Brighton festival the following year, and will take place on 13th November 2024 across eight East London venues: The Shacklewell Arms, MOTH Club, Oslo, Sebright Arms, Paper Dress Vintage, Folklore, Two Palms, and The Victoria.
Dork will be taking over Sebright Arms for the night, with sets from Chloe Slater, Cliffords and The Stingrays. Elsewhere, other acts taking part include Luvcat, Brògeal, RUBBII, Betty, Konyikeh and loads more.
The Great Escape has also announced the Faroe Islands as their Lead Country Partner for 2025. Glenn Larsen, Head of Faroe Music Export, says: “The music scene in the Faroe Islands has really taken off in the past few years, and we’re seeing Faroese artists making a big impression not only at the major showcase festivals in Europe but touring around the world as well. It is undoubtedly impressive that such a small, remote country can offer so much, both in terms of quantity and quality, but also across genres.”
The Great Escape 2025 will take place from 14th – 17th May in Brighton. Pick up tickets for the First Fifty shows here.
