Essex-based quartet She’s In Parties have unveiled their latest single ‘The Times’.
It’s a cut from their second EP ‘Puppet Show’, set for release on 25th October via Submarine Cat Records. ‘The Times’ explores lead vocalist Katie’s frustrations with social media’s role in modern musicianship.
Katie explains, “This song is about my internal battle with this new era of social media we live in. The lyrics “rewrite your mind” pretty much just mean that I need to rethink what I thought being a musician was like, and get with “the times”. If I don’t do it, somebody else will.”
She adds, “One voice tells me they can “take it all away” if we don’t use social media to try and make it as a band. Another voice tells me to “rewrite” my mind, so maybe it’s not so bad to use this new tool of promotion.”
The single is accompanied by a video directed by Polocho.
