Car Boot Sale have released their new single ‘Feet Tappin’.
The London-based five-piece have self-recorded the track in their basement studio in Dalston, and it arrives ahead of live shows at George Tavern, London (24th August) and Prince Albert, Brighton (29th).
“We recorded the track ourselves in a basement studio in Dalston,” the band explain. “It’s a place where we’ve been honing our craft for the past year now. The energy of that place is special as you can hear the footsteps of the bustling high street, nearby bars and dingy clubs overhead, and that inevitably seeped into the session.”
They continue, “Feet tappin’ is about letting go, dancing and freeing yourself of inhibitions. It’s a rocker that doesn’t let up; one to get the front row bouncing and the soundtrack to a sticky, smoke filled dance floor.”
Of the lyrics, frontman Jacques says: “The first two lines suggest a scene & the rest is up for interpretation…”
