Hippo Campus reflect on falling in love with their new single ‘Forget It’

Hippo Campus have released their new single ‘Forget It’.

The track marks the latest preview of their forthcoming fourth album ‘Flood’. The US indie band’s new LP is set to arrive on 20th September via Psychic Hotlineand features recent singles ‘Everything at Once’, ‘Tooth Fairy’ and ‘Paranoid’.

Recorded in 10 days at Sonic Ranch on the Texas border, ‘Flood’ was produced by Caleb Wright and Brad Cook. The album explores themes of adulthood, including death, addiction, anxiety, and relationships.

Speaking about the new single, guitarist Nathan Stocker says: “Do you remember falling in love? Who spoke first? What were you wearing? Does it play in your head like a movie, or was it all over in a single moment? However it was that your love story unfolded, and however you remember it, it’s meaningful…even if you forget the whole thing someday.”

The band will embark on a run of intimate sold-out shows to celebrate the album’s release next month, including dates at LA’s Troubadour, San Francisco’s The Independent, Minneapolis’ First Avenue, NYC’s Bowery Ballroom and DC’s The Atlantis.

Hippo Campus will play their largest UK headline show to date at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 4th December.
