It’s been almost four years since the release of Ilgen-Nur’s highly acclaimed debut album Power Nap. Now, the German singer-songwriter is back with a new release that’s close to her heart. Inspired by time spent in Los Angeles during the Covid lockdowns, her new song Purple Moon, and the eponymously named tour, mark the beginning of a new sound for the indie pop star.

Hole44, Hermannstr. 146, Neukölln, doors open 19:00, show starts 20:00, details.

Thursday

Nivhek

As part of her genre-defying artistic project Nivhek, Liz Harris (aka Grouper) is presenting the new live show, ENGINE. The result of a life-long interest in our human obsession with engines, the performance uses recordings of car and tractor sounds gathered by Harris over the past decade. Her musical performance will be accompanied by a film from Japanese filmmaker Takashi Makino.

Kuppelhalle, silent green, Gerichtstr. 35, Wedding, doors open 19:00, show starts 20:00, details.

Saturday

The Castles

Studio dB, Uferstr. 8-11, Wedding, performances start 17:00, details.
